"Ushuaia" are true stories.
In the following pages you will find
descriptions and photographs of some of the
people and places that played key roles in those
narrative stories. The underlying current is a
rumination on the nature of freedom.
"Boogie Time" is based on modern
understandings of genetics and ecology. It is a
loving tribute to the zany joy and wisdom of
science fiction.
Since retiring from 30 years of teaching the
sciences, Vern and his wife Renee live and
work in Indonesia, Mexico and West Marin.
In the photo to the left , Vern and Renee were
with Balinese friends at Besakih Temple on Bali
in 2014.
